In the beginning was… Alexandre Dumas’ Great Cookbook, which Jérôme Pouly, as any culinary fan worth his salt, knew. Then came a series of texts by Hugo, Balzac, Théophile Gautier, George Sand, Colette or Proust, about cooking, food, hunger or friendly gatherings. A travelling show was built from this prolific collection; Jérôme Pouly cooked while acting on the square of villages or in venues of all sizes. One day, the actor turned it into a Théâtre à la table by gathering all the authors, embodied by Troupe members, at a dinner he cooked and served himself. Cooking Authors was brough to the Table to bake this all-you-can-eat film.
