Anna Cervinka trained as an actor at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles where she graduated in 2008. Following a month-long internship at the Demain le Printemps Theatre School in Belarus, she performed in Belgium under the direction of Philippe Sireuil, Galin Stoev, Emmanuel Deconinck, Dominique Bréda and Pascal Crochet. The latter directed her in R.W. (premier dialogue) and (deuxième dialogue), the two plays staged at the Rideau de Bruxelles reflect the works by Robert Walser. For her performance in the first play, Anna Cervinka earned a nomination for Rising Female Star at the 2010 Critics’ Awards. Two years later, she played in Continent Kafka, a play on the last days of the Czech author written and directed by Pascal Crochet. In Paris, she reunited with director Galin Stoev for two plays at the Théâtre de la Colline: Delhi Dance (Danse ‘‘Delhi’’) by the Russian Ivan Viripaev in 2011 and Liliom by the Hungarian Ferenc Molnar in 2014.
As of the 1st of June 2014, she has been a pensionnaire of the Comédie-Française, where she again reunited with Galin Stoev who directed her as Mariane in Molière’s Tartuffe. Zabou Breitman directed her in Georges Feydeau’s Le Système Ribadier, while Lilo Baur directed her in The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca. She held the role of Nathalie in Michel Vinaver’s La Demande d’emploi directed by Gilles David, as well as the role of the Child in Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Match Girl directed by Olivier Meyrou. In 2016, Anne Kessler entrusted her with the role of the young nanny in an adaptation of Arthur Schnitzler's La Ronde. Nâzim Boudjenah directed her in Maurice Maeterlinck’s Intérieur at the Studio-Théâtre, and Éric Ruf cast her as Zaïre in his staging of Racine’s Bajazet. Anna Cervinka won the 2017 Molière Award for Best Female Newcomer for her performances of Sonia in Vanya adapted from Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya by Julie Deliquet and of Lydia in Mark Medoff’s Children of a Lesser God directed by Anne-Marie Étienne. Anna Cervinka played in Le Python, a short feature film directed by Laurie Bost and Sébastien Savine in 2016.
During the 2018-2019 season, Anna Cervinka will beplaying in Shakespeare’s The TwelfthNight Or What You Will by Thomas Ostermeier, Bergman’s Fanny et Alexandre by Julie Deliquet, Leila Slimani’s Chanson douce by Pauline Bayle as wellas in the rerun of Visconti’s _The Damned_by Ivo van Hove.
